Joining
Who can join, what we need to see, and what happens before your plan starts.
6 Questions Request a PlanMy stairlift is broken right now. Can I join and get it fixed?
Equipment has to be working to join, so the quickest route is to have the repair done first, at the normal rate, by Mobility Repair or any partner repairer. A paid repair from a partner earns you a free first month of membership.
Included repairs on Complete and Ultimate begin from day 91. Call 087 737 9265 and we'll get the initial repair booked.
Is this insurance?
No. It is not insurance. Mobility Minder is a 12-month service contract, renewed each year: you pay us to service your equipment at home every year, and on Complete and Ultimate we carry out the included repairs ourselves, parts and labour. There is no third party deciding anything. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Why do you want a video?
Because from day 91 we may repair your equipment at our own cost, we need to confirm that it works before the plan starts. You can upload a short working video and clear photos, use a recent partner job, or request a free home assessment.
You can complete the private equipment check during signup or skip it and return later. There is no age limit and any make is welcome.
Will you inspect my equipment?
Yes, if you choose it. A free home assessment can be your equipment check instead of uploading video and photos. We may also arrange a free physical inspection during the first 30 days of an active plan. In either case, we contact you first to arrange it.
Which areas do you serve?
All 26 counties of Ireland. The same engineers who service and repair for Mobility Repair carry out your plan visits. Our office confirms the visit timings for your area when you request a plan.
Can I add a second product?
Yes. Each product has its own plan and its own equipment band, on one monthly bill for the household. Tell us about every product when you request, and the exact pricing is confirmed in your written terms.
When Repair Benefits Start
What changes after two payments, and what begins from day 91 on Complete and Ultimate.
3 Questions See Plans & PricesWhen does my member discount begin?
Your plan starts after the office approves the equipment, you accept the written terms and payment is set up. You get your Minder ID, and the Minder Line is yours from day one.
Repairs are charged at the normal public rate until two membership payments have been made. After the second payment, Basic receives 20% off and Complete and Ultimate receive 50% off.
When do included repairs start?
On Complete and Ultimate, eligible repairs are included from day 91 onwards, within the plan limits. Before day 91, the 50% member rate applies once two membership payments have been made.
Basic has no included repairs; its 20% member rate applies after two membership payments for as long as you are a member.
When is my first service?
Your first home service is carried out within the first six months of membership, then every year after that. Our engineer services the equipment at your home and logs the visit against your Minder ID.
Batteries are excluded from the first service. On Complete and Ultimate, new batteries begin on the plan schedule from your second annual service.

7 Questions Call the Minder LineWhat does Minder Complete include, and what does Ultimate add?
Complete, the plan most people choose, is from €29 a month, inc. VAT. It includes your annual home service; a Minder ID and logged service record; the Minder Line seven days a week; up to 2 repair call-outs a year from day 91, parts and labour; 50% off any further repairs after two membership payments; new batteries on the plan schedule; 1 puncture repair a year on scooters; and a replacement product if parts can't be sourced.
Ultimate adds unlimited eligible repair call-outs from day 91, qualifying accidental damage to mechanical and operational parts on scooters and stairlifts, and up to 3 puncture repairs a year on scooters.
How do I book a repair as a member?
Call Mobility Repair on 087 737 9265, or the partner repairer you came through, seven days a week, and quote your Minder ID. They book the engineer and tell you when to expect them, and your plan does the rest.
On Complete and Ultimate, eligible call-outs are included from day 91 onwards. Before then, the member rate applies after two membership payments. Members are booked ahead of non-members.
When do I get new batteries?
Not in your first year. On Complete and Ultimate, stairlifts get a new set at the second annual service, then every two years. Scooters and powerchairs get a new set at the second annual service, then every three years, or sooner if your engineer's battery test shows they won't last until the next service.
On Basic, batteries are at your member rate, 20% off after two membership payments.
Are scooter plastics, shrouds or upholstery included?
No. Cosmetic parts are excluded from repairs on every plan, including upholstery, plastic covers, body panels and shrouds.
Ultimate accidental-damage repairs apply to qualifying mechanical, structural, steering, suspension, operational and electrical parts. Where practical, we will do our best to repair an excluded cosmetic part using conventional repair methods, but cosmetic repair or replacement is not a guaranteed plan benefit.
What happens if parts can't be sourced?
On Complete and Ultimate, if a fault can't be repaired because the parts are no longer available, we replace your product with one of similar age and condition. The replacement carries no warranty of its own, but for as long as your plan runs it is looked after under the plan exactly like the original.
What is a Minder ID?
A unique code for each product on a plan, like a car's service book. Every service, repair and battery we carry out is logged against it, so the product's full history is in one place. We issue it the day your plan starts; keep it handy when you call.
Can a partner add to my service record?
Yes. If a partner repairer or the shop you bought from carries out work on your product, they send the job to our office quoting your Minder ID, and we log it on the record. That way the history stays complete even when we didn't do the work ourselves.
Paying and Cancelling
How payment works, the 12-month contract, the cooling-off period and cancelling.
3 Questions Contact UsDo you take payment online?
No payment is taken on this website. You start the signup and complete the equipment check now or later. Our office confirms the equipment, band and eligibility first, then sends the written terms and a secure payment link. The plan is not active until payment is set up.
How long is the contract, and how do I cancel?
Twelve months, renewed each year. The way to cancel, the notice period and any refund are set out in the written plan terms you receive before you join, so you can read them before anything starts.
Is there a cooling-off period?
Yes, 14 days from the day your plan starts. It is set out in the written terms along with everything else about cancelling.
