Plan Terms

What Mobility Minder Is

Mobility Minder is a 12-month service contract, renewed each year. You pay a monthly price for a plan on one piece of equipment: a stairlift, a mobility scooter or a powerchair. In return, our engineers service it at your home every year, answer your questions seven days a week, and, on Complete and Ultimate, carry out the included repairs ourselves, parts and labour.

It is not insurance. There is no third party deciding anything: you pay us to service your equipment and we do the work. It doesn't replace your statutory consumer rights, and it isn't personal-injury or compensation protection.

  • One plan, one product. Each stairlift, scooter or powerchair has its own plan and its own monthly price, set by its equipment band.
  • Anywhere in Ireland. All 26 counties. Our office confirms visit timings for your area when you request a plan.
  • Powered equipment only. Stairlifts, mobility scooters and powerchairs. There is no age limit on the equipment.

The Three Plans

Three plans: Basic, Complete (the one most people choose) and Ultimate. Every plan includes the annual home service, the Minder Line, priority booking, and a Minder ID with a logged service record. The higher plans add included repairs, batteries on the plan schedule and more. Plans start from €23 a month on Basic and €29 on Complete, inc. VAT; the exact price depends on your equipment band.

Joining

Five things happen before a plan starts. The equipment check can be completed during signup or later, and no payment is taken on this website.

  1. 1

    Start Your Signup

Choose the plan and equipment band and send your contact details. This does not activate a plan or take payment.

  2. 2

    Working Equipment, Any Age

Your equipment must be working before the plan starts. Use the private check to upload a working video and clear photos, provide a recent partner job, or request a free home assessment. You may skip this and return later.

  3. 3

Our Office Confirms Eligibility and Band

Prices are set by equipment band. Picking a band on this website never enrols you: our office checks the evidence, confirms the right band from the make and model, and tells you the exact monthly price in writing.

  4. 4

Written Terms and Secure Payment Link

Once approved, we send the full written terms and a secure payment link. The plan is not active until payment is set up.

  5. Your Plan Starts

Your Minder ID and service record are issued, and your universal equipment sticker is posted. We may also arrange a free physical inspection during the first 30 days.

When Repair Benefits Start

Repairs are charged at the normal public rate until two membership payments have been made. After the second payment, your member rate applies: 20% off on Basic and 50% off on Complete and Ultimate.

On Complete and Ultimate, eligible repairs are included from day 91 onwards, within the plan's call-out limits. Before day 91, the member rate applies once two payments have been made.

Three Simple Stages

Before 2 PaymentsRepairs are charged at the normal public rate.
After 2 PaymentsBasic: 20% off. Complete and Ultimate: 50% off.
From Day 91Eligible repairs are included on Complete and Ultimate.

Need a repair right now? Have it done at the normal rate by Mobility Repair or any partner repairer, and your first month of membership is free. Included repairs on Complete and Ultimate still begin from day 91.

Repairs and Call-Outs

A call-out is a visit by our engineer to repair a fault on your equipment. What each plan includes:

Basic

  • No included repairs. Every repair, battery and puncture is at your member rate: 20% off the public rate after two membership payments.
  • Priority booking over non-members, and the Minder Line seven days a week.

Complete

  • Up to 2 repair call-outs a year included, parts and labour, from day 91 onwards.
  • Any further repairs that year at 50% off the public rate.

Ultimate

  • Unlimited repair call-outs included, parts and labour, from day 91 onwards.
  • Qualifying accidental damage to mechanical, structural, steering, suspension, operational and electrical parts on scooters and stairlifts (section 8).

Every Plan

  • The annual home service: the first is carried out within the first six months of membership, then every year. Batteries are excluded from the first service.
  • Every visit logged on your service record, under your Minder ID.

To book a repair, call Mobility Repair or your partner repairer and quote your Minder ID. They book the engineer and tell you when to expect them, and your plan does the rest. How included call-outs are counted across a plan year is set out in the written terms.

Batteries

No batteries in year one, on any plan. Your engineer tests the batteries at every annual service and logs the result. On Complete and Ultimate, new batteries are fitted on the plan schedule; on Basic, batteries are at your member rate.

The Battery Schedule

First ServiceBatteries excluded.
Second ServiceNew batteries included.
StairliftsEvery two years thereafter.
Scooters & PowerchairsEvery three years thereafter, or earlier if testing shows they will not last.

Punctures

Puncture repairs apply to mobility scooters only. Stairlifts have no tyres, and powerchairs are not included in the puncture allowance.

  • Basic: punctures at your member rate, 20% off the public rate after two membership payments.
  • Complete: 1 puncture repair a year included.
  • Ultimate: up to 3 puncture repairs a year included.

Puncture repairs run per plan year, like call-outs, and the month-one and 90-day rules apply to them in the same way.

Accidental Mechanical and Operational Damage (Ultimate)

On Ultimate only, qualifying accidental damage to a mobility scooter or stairlift is included from day 91. This applies to damage affecting mechanical or structural parts, steering, suspension, operation or electrical components.

Cosmetic damage is not included on any plan. This includes upholstery, plastic covers, body panels and shrouds. These parts are not included for replacement under the plan. Where practical, we will do our best to repair an excluded cosmetic part using conventional repair methods, but that work is not a guaranteed plan benefit.

The two-payment member-rate rule and the day-91 waiting period apply in the same way as to other repairs. Normal wear, deterioration and pre-existing damage are not accidental damage.

If We Can't Fix It

On Complete and Ultimate, if a fault can't be repaired because the parts can no longer be sourced, we replace your product with one of similar age and similar condition.

  • The replacement carries no warranty of its own.
  • For as long as your plan runs, the replacement is looked after under the plan exactly like the original.
  • The replacement is logged on your service record under your Minder ID.

How "similar age and condition" is judged, and what happens to the original equipment, are set out in the written plan terms.

Your Service Record and Minder ID

Every product on a plan gets its own Minder ID, issued the day your plan starts. Every service, repair, battery test and set fitted, inspection and part is logged against it, with the date and who did the work, so the product's full history is in one place.

  • Our engineers log their work on the day it's done.
  • Partner repairers and partner shops can add their work to your record too, by sending the job to our office with your Minder ID.
  • You can ask our office for a copy of your record at any time.

How we look after the information in your record is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Partners and Free Months

Partner Repairers

A paid repair, service or battery fitted by a partner repairer earns you a free first month of Mobility Minder. Their job report is your proof of working equipment, so there is no video to send. Mobility Repair is our first partner repairer.

Partner Shops

Bought your scooter or powerchair from a partner shop? Join with the shop's code and you get 20% off your first year. We look after the shop's warranty on it too: one warranty call-out per product per 12 months at your home, labour and call-out included, the part supplied by the shop, within about 90 minutes' drive of Dublin. Further afield, we handle it with the shop remotely, with a part or a replacement supplied by the shop.

A free month or a discount applies to the plan it was earned on, and the written plan terms set out how it is applied to your monthly payments.

Paying, Renewing and Cancelling

  • Monthly. You pay one price a month for each product on a plan, inc. VAT. The price for your band is confirmed in writing before you start.
  • A 12-month term, renewed yearly. Each plan runs for 12 months and renews for another 12 at the end of the term.
  • 14-day cooling-off. You have 14 days from the day your plan starts to change your mind.
  • Cancellation and refunds. How to cancel, any notice period and how refunds work are set out in the written plan terms you receive before membership starts.

Nothing is paid on this website. After the office confirms the equipment and eligibility, we send the written terms and a secure payment link. The plan is not active until payment is set up.

Your Rights

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by a Mobility Minder plan. The plan is in addition to your rights under Irish consumer law, and nothing in it takes them away.

If something goes wrong with a service or repair we've carried out, call or email our office and we put it right. Our contact details are on every page.
